Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about FlowTime.

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. It uses a timer to break work into 25-minute intervals (called pomodoros) separated by 5-minute breaks. After 4 pomodoros, you take a longer 15-30 minute break.

Is FlowTime really free?

Yes! FlowTime is 100% free with no hidden costs. No credit card required, no premium features locked behind paywalls.

Do I need to create an account?

No signup required. Just open the app and start focusing. Your data is stored locally in your browser.

Does it work offline?

Yes! FlowTime is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Once loaded, it works completely offline. You can also install it on your device for quick access.

Can I customize the timer intervals?

Absolutely! While the default is 25/5 (classic Pomodoro), you can use Deep Work mode (52/17) or create custom intervals in the settings.

What are focus sounds?

FlowTime includes ambient sounds like rain, white noise, brown noise, binaural beats, and café ambience to help you concentrate better.

How do streaks work?

Your streak counts consecutive days with at least one completed pomodoro. Miss a day and the streak resets. It's a great motivation tool!

Is my data private?

Yes. All your data stays on your device in local storage. We don't collect or store any personal information.

Can I use FlowTime on my phone?

Yes! FlowTime works on all devices - desktop, tablet, and mobile. You can also install it as an app on iOS and Android.

What's the best interval for studying?

The classic 25/5 works great for most students. For deep study sessions, try 52/17. Experiment to find what works best for you.
